        2020 Junior Program

        • 2020 Junior Golf Program is modified from previous years.
        • Every Wednesday, 4 pm-5:45 pm. Starting June 3 through Aug. 26, 2020.
        • For the time being we will have 12 Paid Junior Members of SSI Golf Club in the program, age 10 or older in 2020.

        • Public drop in rate — $10.00 (incl. tax)

        Junior Lessons

        We offer private Junior golf coaching from one of the top pros in British Columbia.  Teaching Professional, Isaac Weintraub offers special rates for Juniors. 

        • Junior golf lessons are $40 for a one-on-one.
        • Group Lesson rates are also available.

        Junior Golf Every Wednesday

        Junior Golf starts at 4pm Wednesdays. We are introducing a new upbeat, coaching program. A fresh learning curve for juniors, as well as a skill
        incentive “Star” component. Upon arrival, sign in and start your warm up.

        Lessons will include the fundamentals of the golf swing, from shorter shots to long drives. The lessons will also cover golf rules, etiquette, learning how to enjoy the game and getting ready to get out onto the golf course!

        Coaching will include practice time on the driving range, putting green and time on the course. Afterwards, we meet at Penny’s Pantry for hot dogs and drinks supplied by the Junior Golf Program. Parents are invited and encouraged to participate in Junior night, ready for home by 6:00pm.

        Rules and helpful tips

        Being in golf course dress code means no tank tops or low cut tops. No offensive logos or designs on shirts. Junior girls may wear sleeveless shirts if they have a collar or sleeves without a collar. No short shorts or cut-offs.

        Soft spiked golf shoes, runners or tennis shoes are appropriate footwear.

        Salt Spring Junior Golf shirts will be available to the Junior membership as well as anyone participating in our Wednesday Junior Golf .

        In warm sunny weather wear a hat, sunscreen and bring water to stay hydrated.

        Golf clubs for Juniors

        If your junior is in need of golf clubs, our pro shop sells both new and used clubs at excellent prices. Come get clubs fitted by: Teaching Professional Isaac Weintraub.

        If purchasing clubs is not a good option at this time, our junior program will have clubs available, free of charge, for use on our junior program days. Please check at the Pro Shop for more information.
